Front License Plate

I have a 2004 Avalanche and am just wondering how you guys mount your front license plate (MN requires front plates). I just got new critical habitat plates and I know I am going to end up bowing it out on a snow bank this winter because the bottom facia makes it stick out. I don't want to bend the plate around it either because then it ruins the plate. It's not a picture of my truck but I have attached a picture to show what I am talking about.

I used 3m double-sided mounting tape on my old F350. The plate never even thought about falling off.

I guess I'm not sure where I would put the double stick tape, I don't want to bend the plate around the bottom fascia part of the bumper and it still leaves the plate sticking out from the bumper at the bottom.

On my 06 I made a backing plate out of aluminum and fastened the license plate to that, then used longer bolts and washers to make up for the curve in the bumper.
