My truck won't go into park can anyone help me please

did ya even look under the truck at the shifter cable???????

 

use a light ,that helps

Every thing looks ok my shifter on my colum is real loose sometimes it won't go into reverse I have to take all the way to 1 the push it up fast so it gos in reverse

DID YOU LOOK UNDER THE TRUCK AND BEHIND THE KNEE BOLSTER ????

 

its a broken cable assembly (retaining portion)

 

take it in .....

Yes there is a broken plastic by the tranny linkage by a rubber boot do you what it's called so I can try to find it thank you very much and thanks for your time.

its part of the "transmission shifter cable assembly",dont forget the retaining clip thats gone ,,U shaped clip that keeps the "tabs" apart
