speaker box

[96 silverado]

I have a 96' reg. cab silverado with factory red leather seats.  Wondering if there is a sub speaker box out there that will work. One that will fix behind seat and not look like crap.

There really is not too much room in a reg cab to put subs. I would recommend 6X9s, they are really under rated and sound great. Boston accoustic makes some great 6X9s for $150. The bass was very tight and pounded, even my review was shaking.

 

If you really want subs I would recomend 8 inch speakers. You can get boxes that fit perfect behind the reg cab and they are the only subs that would really have enough room back there. Personally I like the sound of 8s then any there sub.

 

If you do not have electric seats you might fit a larger sub under the seat, but not sure.

Thanks mtmace, aren't the speakers behind the seat 6`9` not sure.  I'm also wanting to keep the factory radio should I hook a AMP up to it or leave it alone.

I used to have 3 jl audio 8" subs behind my reg cab......I recommend a custom box......

 

As far as the highs q logic makes kicker panels for 6.5" and tweeters.....much better sound than the 4x6's.
