Ready Lift Or Rough Country

I know this question is prolly played out on here, but im new on here so bare with me. I just got a 08 GMC Seirra. It sets a lil to low in the front, kind of like driving a car compared to my old truck. So ive decided to get a 2in leveling kit, but can't make my mind up on which one. Everyone around here gets the Ready Lift because there is a shop local that installs them. I plan on doing the installation my self but can't make up my mind. Any suggestions and photos would be greatly appreciated.

Most people on this site go with the rough country one as it is the cheapest way to level by far. I wanted just a bit more lift, and while i have heard nothing but good things about the rough country, i like metal parts so i went with the ready lift. I installed it myself, took probably longer than most people would take due to my lack of pneumatic tools and taking it slowly to make sure i did it right. I also had a lunch break, lol. Im also debating between both leveling kits. One thing I find odd is that the Rough Country is 2" where the Ready Lift claims their 2.25" billet kit is the proper front end lift required to achieve a true level stance.

Opinions?

when i installed the RC 2" leveling kit on my 2011 it made my ext. cab truck ride nose high until i installed a 2" block in the rear. this gave me about 1/4-3/8" of rake. IMO a 2" level with a 3" block adds WAY too much rake back to the truck. but if you like that sort of look then its perfect.

If you look at the leveling kit on ready lift they have an installation video on there. In fact thats mostly how I installed mine, is by watching the video. I wouldn't gowith the T6 as it requires cutting of the stock bolts.

Ahhh thanks and good call, I missed that. Just checked the site again and found this one with a video for bolt-on install.

Looks like this kit kinda does what the T6 and RC does at the same time by installing a spacer above and below the strut. I would imagine that this better distributes any added stress.

Down side of RL when compared to RC is obviously the price...

What have guys been doing with the Denali Pickups. I have an 09 and Ready Lift said their leveling kit would cause vibration due to the Denali's AWD.

I'd go with RC for price and ease of installation.

I gotta agree with you... Im personally just looking to do a level kit as a temp thing to give my truck a more aggressive stance. Ultimately I wanna go with a 6" lift, larger tires, etc. Just gotta put some cash aside. The RC may be a good inexpensive solution for the time being.

You got any pics?? I was jus wondering how close to level it got you. A lil rake dont bother me but i dont want it to ride nose up. Im really planning on just a level kit to raise my stants a lil and be done with it. Its gonna be permanent so i want to make sure its the right one for what im looking for.

I've tried to take a few pictures with my iPhone but honestly it's not clearly definable in the photos. The best I can describe, it truly levels the frame. When you step back and look at the truck on level pavement, you can visually detect a very slight nose low rake -- but it's minimal. Climbing into the truck and the appearance as you look down the now level hood while driving changes. I don't think you'd get a nose high attitude (what we call "raccoon hunting" as your headlights shine upward) unless you load the bed heavy or apply a trailer with a substantial tongue weight.
