Got to love Wireless networks

My father bought a wireless router a few days ago. Yesterday i finally hooked it all up (took about 2 seconds for me).

 

Now i'm surfing in the living room with his laptop and no wires.

 

I could even use this thing in the bathroom if i wanted.

 

My computer is still hardwired into the router via Cat5, but my fathers computer has a wireless LAN card in it now. We used to sting out a cable to his room  

 

Best part, is at 22mb/sec, its faster than the cable modem, so  the internet speed isn't changed a bit!  :thumb:

Cool, Mervz!  Is it a Netgear?  Is it the "a" or "b" standard?  I forget the exact details and standards, but one is faster than the other.

 

I have the std wired Netgear FR-314 and like it .

So if I need some free broad band access, I can just park out if front of Mervz house   You did turn on encryption, didn't you?

Been using airport cards in my house for a few years now.  I love wireless.  My dad's office is also wireless.  Work should be wireless soon as well since all we need is one access point.  It's great if you can connect to it. :thumb:
