Great minds think alike!  I was just about to ask this same thing (for an '02 Tahoe).  I hope someone can answer you -- or us, rather.  ;)

Anyone?!  C'mon -- I need to know if I should be asking for these for Christmas!  :D

I just had the driver's side heated seat module replaced in my '98 Suburban (factory option) and it cost me $490, just for the driver's side mind you ($335 for the leather seat cover with heater, $155 labor).

A851yy07, you're telling me your friend got it added on *both* sides for $470??  Please tell me they didn't have it done at a GM dealership with GM parts.   :D

Man, I hate getting shafted.  Please forgive the venting.

If anyone oders the heated seat kit from JB Customs I would be intereted in hearing if the installation instructions make better sense with the components in front of you. I downloaded the instuctions from JB's website and they weren't too clear to me, mainly because of the terminology used.

I ordered the SWAC kit form JP and the kit was pretty well laid out os that someone w/ little or no mechanical knowledge could do it.  But, it always does help to have the parts in front of you.

Hey guys, I'll give you the details on the heated seats kit. Super easy installation.

Pull back to seat covered (leather, vinyl or cloth), and peel the backing off the double sided tape on the heating elements. Stick them in place on the seat cushion and back and run the wires out the back and bottom of the seats and under the seat. Install the switch on the side seat trim (or pretty much anywhere you want) and then connect the power (switched power) and ground.

Make sure you connect to a switched power source or you will drain the battery if you accidentally leave the switch on.

Really easy installation. Only difficult part is getting the seat covers off, and that is pretty easy. They're just clipped in place and held to the seat with velcro.

I didn't cut anything on the pads when I put them in.

Peel, stick, connect.

Email me if you have any questions.

I NEVER HEARD HOW ANYONES ISTALLATION OF HEATED SEATS WENT.LET ME KNOW.ALSO ANYONE PUT SEPERATE SEATS IN MIDDLE ROW INSTEAD OF STOCK BENCH IN 00-03 SUBURBAN? THANKS

I just bought a 03 uburban and it had the bend seat in the second row.  I got the dealership to change it to the buckets as part of the deal.  They said they tried seats from a tahoe first and they will not work.  The bucket seats have to come from a suburban.  Other than that it is a bolt in.

Aww man...just when I had forgotten that I wanted to add heated seats to my truck I see this thread!!  Doesn't sound like its that hard to do and the price is right.

I added heated seats to my '99 Silverado. I replaced the factory colth seats with Leather from a '02 Avalanche. Picked up the door switchs for the heat and MEMORY SEATS.. I LOVE heated seats in the winter.  I payed 950.00 for the leather and sold my colth on EBAY for 600.00. cost me 350.00.  money well spent. If all you want is the heated seats I would go with JPCUSTOMS mods.

I have sent you e-mail requesting more information on the above.  I want to add leather, heated, & memory to our 01 LS Suburban.  Sounds like you might be the man to talk to.
