Help Please

I have a 09 gmc sierra sle and i don't have the bose system. My buddy has a 2010 chevy silverado ltz with the bose and im wondering if i can swap headunits with him? if so what else will i need to make it happen? will the headunits go into theft mode if i try to swap? if so can this be prevented?

You might want to modify your post subject line to something like "Bose Head Unit Swap, please help"... You won't get much attention with just a "Help Please" and no subject information...

 

Also, you might want want to give a few details on why your buddy would swap you his Bose head unit. Is he upgrading to a complete new after-market system? I'm sure, even if he's the nicest guy ever, he would just swap you his Bose head unit for nothing. I only bring this up because when someone does read your post the first thing that pops into mind is "oh... you've got a stolen Bose head unit"....
