1998 Chev Z71 Vortec

Engine service light (esl) on-off-on-flashing on/off, then stayed on. Checked at autozone and found #3 cyclinder problem. Checked plug and it was black. All others were fine. Replaced all plugs with Bosch P+4 and ran fine for 2 miles. Next day (today) ran for 2 miles and it started up again with esl on again. I checked #3 and it was black again. What could be the problem? As of today, still the same. I clean the plug, runs good for about a mile and then the same. Removed plug and black carbon all over.
