MICKEY THOMPSON BAJA CLAW RADIAL

Anyone running Baja Claw Radials?  I'm shopping for a set to put on with the fabtech when I get my act in gear.  I'm curious to see how they hold up or if I should go back with a bigger set of BFG's or something.  I've heard they're too soft for the weight of the HD.

A buddy of mine used to have a set of 35" baja claws, before the radials were out, they didnt last very long at all, the rubber was pretty soft on them. He also had a set of 35" BFG AT's they show very little wear, which I traded him and have them now, but I cant tell ya how they work yet, since I'm having trouble putting my lift on.

Heavy right foot trouble!! They were good in the mud, but burnin them off, they wore down really quick, when he bought he didnt even have the tires on there for a year and they were wore out, I would say he probably only had 12-15K miles on them. They looked neat though. He also said like every other lug would wear down, that made them make some noise.  The radials might be better though I dont know.

OK, you meant the trouble with the lift, Im puttin a 6" Pro Comp on. I cant get the torsion bars to come out of the adjuster arm or the front lower a-arm. I have the adjuster bolt and nut out. I beat on them with a hammer and punch from the backside, didnt budge. I heated the adjuster arm and they still wouldnt move, I had them sprayed down with loosening oil also.

Ouch.....no fun...

Just a note, watch your alignment closely on the pro comp...it tends to find its own setting for whatever reason causing some tire wear issues

OK GUYS. There are 2 kinds of Baja Claws. The Bias plies and the Radials. The Bias Plies are not intended for use on the road so stop complaining about how they wear. And every other lug wearing is and alignment problem. I had a radial set of 35x12.5's on my 79 GMC Jimmy for like 3 years, and i rock crawled every week and did constant burnouts. They are the best tires ive ever had. Ive pulled 3 inch screwes out of them and never got a flat. But if you just drive to the Starbucks and to your office and have neevr put it in 4x4, i wouldnt get them. These are OFF ROAD tires. If you want a tough and reliable tire that wont let you down, and turn a few heads, get the Baja Claws Radials.
