Well, here's the bowl schedule for this year.

Too bad UCLA couldn't help the Big East and WVU out by knocking Washington State out it, so Notre Dame wouldn't get the Big East Gator Bowl bid.

That's total BS that notre dame can take a spot that should be filled by another conference. I hope NC State stomps their a$$!

It's bs that they get special treatment though. Maybe the NCAA should put themselves on probation for all the "perks" they allow ND to have.

It all because of NBC. If Notre Dame didn't have that lucrative NBC contract, they would be forced to join a conference, which would eliminate the problem of them taking spots that go to conferences.

The rule that they get a Nig East spot is in there because the Big East used to suck other than Miami and the bowl games didn't want to commit to a certain number of Big East spots because they were afraid they would get a team that sucked. Enter the Notre Dame clause which actually saved the Big East from losing the amount of bowl bids it gets.

Yes I hate it that WVU got screwed out of the Gator Bowl, because of it, but that's why it happened. If it wasn't for NBC this problem would go away very fast.

Why do all the college football video games have the little logo on the back that says "Officially Licensed Product of Notre Dame"? That's something I've always wondered about. Do they have to approve of the game before it is made or something?

Notre Dame Sucks!! Not just because of this years bowl game situation, I've always thougth that.

Well, looks like my Huskers will be going to the MainStay Independence Bowl...guess that is better then nothing. Gotta win though, need too keep a winning season...then rebuild in the off-season.

I've never noticed that before. I don't know why it says that. Does it say anything about the conferences or anything? I'll have to look into that.

I've always liked Notre Dame, even when they beat WVU in the Fiesta Bowl at the end of the 1988 season. They are one of my favorite teams.

WVu is my favorite, then there is a list of 5 or 6 other teams that I like, ND has always been one of them (evxcept while Bob Davie was coach).

It's on the back of the NCAA games for playstation. They have all the "officially licensed" stuff or the Fed-Ex Orange Bowl, the NCAA thing, and then the ND one, along with one or two more.

Hope you WVU fans don't feel too bad, but I'm pretty sure my team got screwed over as well. Don't quite understand how the team ranked 6th in the country (and highest in the Big 12) gets to play in the 4th place bowl for their conference. Heck, we get to play an unranked opponent that with the outstanding 8-5 record. I'm sure it will be an outstanding game.

Oh well, guess as a KSU fan I should be used to it.
