G80 locker

Just wondering if anyone has any tips on making the g80 lockup easier because it doesn't make a very nice sound the way I do it. I tried climbing a snowy small hill and it would lock up and if I got off the gas it would unlock and make a very loud clunking sound then seemed like it is kicking in and out. Is this normal. When I put it in 4 high the rear locks up fine. The reason I know this when I turn It spins the wheels.

They do make noise I'd take it into the dealership to have it checked out, but I'm betting it's fine.

I can't speak from experience with these trucks but my old tacoma had an e-locker that was of course selectable which was nice but when I would disengage it it too would have a fairly loud clunk almost similar to engaging 4wd. The knock is pry fine but not sure about it going in and out of being engaged, that has been one of my fears on not having a selectable locker. If your worried do like steven said and take it to the dealer since I figure it's still covered under warranty.

On the weekend I'm going to find a ditch to do the ditch twist and see if it locks up.

they make a clunking noise when locking and unlocking, its normal.... if your stuck or spinning the tires, try gently hitting the gas and making it spin a little bit until it locks
