onstar removal

hey guys does anyone know what the best procedure is for removing the onstar mirror in my 2011 silverado??

 

im not worried about people listening in on me or anything. i just dont like rear view mirrors. my last 2 trucks i took the mirrors off and this one is buggin me more and more everytime i drive it.

 

id think it be fine to just unplug it and jam it back in the headliner. im wondering if there is any fuses i need to pull or whatnot.

You can probably just unplug it, the only error light there is to the best of my knowledge is the one on the mirror itself and if it isn't there then it can't really turn on now can it?
