Thinking of purchasing a tune....

Well I received his email with my tunes plus my stock setup and was kind of lost. He emailed my back straight away and I understand now what I need to do. Won't be able to do it though until Friday, as the truck goes to Chevy for routine maintenance on Friday.

So after I receive my tune files from Justin, I just drag them from my desktop to the Tune File in EFI Live explorer? Then plug into truck and follow the online directions?

So he didn't send you a new pcm with the tunes pre loaded?

If you get the autocal, you own the tool, and it acts like any other handheld and will tune your current PCM. Its not like the Data Logging tune which is where Justin sends you his EFI live equipment that you have to return.

Also, rather than sending you PCM in for tune changes, he can email the changes to you and you just load them from your computer, to the Autocal, then to the truck.

Its a pretty nice setup. I looked into getting one, and still might later, but I have the money for an in-person tune, and it just so happens that there is a tune meet coming up only a few hours from me.

You don't drag them from you desktop exactly.

1. Connect the autocal to computer.

2. Open EFIlive Explorer.

3. In upper Left pane of EfIlive Explorer, navigate to the location of your files. (Desktop or folder where located). Tunes files will then show in upper right pane of EFI Explorer.

4. Click on F3: Data Files if not already selected. In Lower left pane, click "Tune" folder to select.

5. Now, drag tune files from upper right pane, to lower right pane. Your done loading your files to the Autocal.

Thank you! Now I get to decide 87 or 91. Probably going to be 87 for now, as I still have over a half of tank...

If you go with an 89, you can safely run either 3 octanes  and yes you can just drag if you like

Getting a bbtune will probably be the greatest mod for your truck. It's night and day like someone said. The stock tune is sooooo lame!

You guys are making me anxious. I put down my deposit on a tune meet last night and Im hoping it gets enough deposits to take place. Im gonna be disappointed if it doesnt go through.
