fat bobs 2" level kit versus rc 2"

Ok guys whats your thougths on this one. The fat bobs bottom 2" level kit can be gotten for like 40 bucks versus 65 for the rough country 2" leveling kit. Looks to me they are both made of the same material.

Update i just checked their site how did you get free shipping and next day delivery. When i go to check out it adds shipping charges to my order. Not that im complaining but if i can get free shipping i want it. ha ha ha. I would like to know if anyone has experience with the fat bobs leveling kits that are similar to the rc one though.

When you go to check out you have to punch free shipping. When I ordered mine yesterday they had a timer clock running and it had about 23 hours left to get the offer.

I would get the cheaper one. they are the same. It is a chunk of billet aluminum machined into a spacer. Pretty hard to screw up. As long as it is from reputable establishment you will be fine.

 

I purchased mine from a small offroad shop that machines their own parts for off road racing. They look the same as the RC and the "Fat Bob" and I have had no issues.

I actually did the "Fat Bob's", and they looked the same to me. I think (not certain) that the FB's are made of some type of heavy nylon material. Bought on e-Bay for $35.95, with free shipping. (Link) The only criticism that I have is that one of the bolts was too LONG, and had to be cut off. They said it was the difference between the A-Frame's one is stamped and one is solid (mine is solid). Easy install, did as advertised... should hold up forever.

cool how long have you had it on your truck? I was originally looking at the machined aluminum set on ebay but living and towing a boat ofter here in florida i dont want the two diffrent metals reacting to each other.

about a month... you may have a good point about the metals, but IMHO, the nylon should last just as long. Time will tell.

Im no pro but i think the nylon will hold up too as well just fine for what most of us do and mild off roading shouldnt hurt i dont think. One concern i had was the nylon cracking when tightening the bolts but i havent found anything on that issue here so i think im good to go.

I ordered the fat bobs leveling kit from ebay for 34.95 and free shipping thats half price of the RC leveling kit and i agree i beleive its made of the same material and it has a life time warrenty as well i should have it by thursday of this comming week.
