GM manufacture step bar install

Hi guys I need some help with a project I have. I recently got some older style step bars free from work with the mounts and everything but I am not sure if the brackets will work for my truck. I have an 07 silverado LT extended cab but the brackets I have with the bars are not like the newer ones that go up into the body bolt. Here is a pic of what I have. Can I use these or will they not fit?

New or old body style? Any idea as to what company the bars are from? Looks like those are body mount mounted step bars.

they are straight from gm. I have the lt. new body style.

 

From what I understand the older style silverados had holes pre drilled for these brackets but mine does not seem to have these holes. How bad is it really to drill into the frame?
