Can I add power fold mirrors?

I have a 2008 Sierra 2500 HD - My garage space is narrow and I have tore (don't laugh) my door trim off twice now by barely catching one of the mirrors on the edge. I see that the new Sierras have a power folding mirror option - can this be added by the dealer or as an after market item?

you can add them from another truck, but you will need a power fold switch...also unless you get the switch and the passenger switch used from a donor truck you will have to go to the dealer for programming so in summary:

 

1. you either need mirrors, a powerfold switch, and programming for the new switch and your existing passenger switch

2. mirrors, a powerfold switch, and a passenger switch from a truck that already has the powerfold option

 

also, I think 07-08 vs 09-11 have different door panels...make sure to get an 07-08 switch and not an 09-11

I'm looking to go the other way on my '05 SLT. I currently have the power extending tow mirrors. Even when retracted they add several inches to the width of my truck. I've clipped them going into my garage a couple of times. I am wondering if it's a plug and play deal with the original switch and harness. I like having the turn signal in the mirror.
