Diablosport Predator - 2010 gasser. What will it do for me?

The counter is only on Global A vehicles, which GM gas trucks do not fall under. Mostly diesels. Under the current methods GM uses to monitor the PCM, if it is returned to stock, they can not tell it has been tuned.

Interesting. If that's the case then I could go ahead and use my Hp Tuner to tune my truck and still retain my 5 year warranty if returned to stock???

Do you have a link with info on your Autocal? If you guarantee my warranty will not be voided maybe the way to go. Have you tuned a 2011 5.3 Silverado? I've been burned once by Jannetty Racing/Diablo and don't want to go though that again.

well, you can't really blame the tuning issue on the DiabloSport product tho... the issues you had were from the tune you had done...

I don't think any tuner is going to give you a guarantee and if they do what does it really cover and do you have to prove you returned it to stock? Let's say Joe Smuck is on a trip and his truck breaks down. He doesn't have his Autocal with him to return to stock and gets towed to the closest dealer. The dealer discovers the tune and denies the warranty coverage. Now Joe contacts Black Bear and swears he returned it to stock and wants BB to pay for his repair. BB knows better and denies the guarantee. Now Joe gets all over the forums and slanders BB. Most companys have product liability disclaimers because some people are dishonest.

I keep my AutoCal in the vehicle with the stock tunes loaded on it in case of a breakdown on the road. I've never had a breakdown when the truck was sitting in the driveway.

Lew, i might have to take you up on that. but i'm satisfied with what its done with the little performance mods i've done. mainly interested in better fuel mileage which it has proven for me:

btw, is there much difference between the 87 octane performance tune and MPG Booster tunes? when i did this test last year i was on the 87 octane tune, but recently i updated my programmer and switched to the MPG booster tune. can't really tell a difference between the two, and i'm getting the same mileage.

the mpg booster tune makes some tweaks to the DOD/AFM, and to some throttle settings... if you don't have DOD/AFM or have disabled it, then you won't really notice much mpg improvement...
