Mounting options for brake controller

I was hopping some of you would like to offer me some insight on were to mount my trailer brake controller. Please post your pics for visual aid.

I'm going the under the steering wheel one using a bent aluminum flatbar. Just haven't had free time at work to finish it.

My hayes genesis fits perfect in the ashtray space. Remove the ash tray run the wires behind the opening and see if it fits. My controller even sits on the ledge and locks in place.

Thanks for the pics, i like oldschool's mount. How does the genesis work, any difference between that and the prodigy?

The Prodigy mounts in the ashtray space too. Personally, I went to the left, just above the brake pedal, but first had it in the ashtray. I use a Prodigy.

Mine is mounted to the little piece of black plastic just below the knee bolster. It's flat and a perfect space. I was worried about my legs hitting it but it has plenty of room and I'm 6'1"

I mounted mine more towards the center, to be able to see it easier.

So I got it installed tonight, I stuck it in the ash tray. Looks good, but it took some finagling to get it in there so the wires could plug in. Ill be using it on Saturday to tow home the new-to-us RV. Thanks for the pics.
