Anyone had both or whats your experience with either? I am stuck on the two in either a 275 70 or a 285 65. About the only bad thing i hear about the BFG's are that they are horrible in the mud which kinda makes me worry. About all i do is drive back and forth to work and on dirt roads, around fields hunting and fishing ect. so its not like I'm out mud boggin just want it to clean well when I need it to.

In a 275 70 i can get the BFG about 30 cheaper per tire and think that is probably what I'm going to go with. Im just looking for what most peoples experiences with the two are. Thanks for the input.

I've never ran Toyo's....but I've had very good luck with BFG AT's. In my opinion, if you get stuck somewhere with those, you're probably somewhere you shouldn't have been anyway.

we had both brands of tires you are on considering on work trucks and i much prefer the bfg to the toyo. the bfg was a little louder on the highway but it was much better offroad.

I've ran both, the BFG's on my S-10 and the Toyo's on both my Sierra's. You can't go wrong with either, since the BFG's are cheaper then I'd go that route.

I've only had first hand experience with TOYO A/T and have been completely satisfied. They are very smooth and quiet on paved roads and highways. My current set has about 40,000 miles and can probably get another 10,000 to 12,000 miles out of them. They wear very evenly (rotate every 8,000 miles).

I don't do a lot of off-roading, but when I do it's in completely dry conditions.

Overall I'm very satisfied with TOYO A/T's.

I figured I would get most going toward the BFG which I have. On both tires web sites they measure the same for the two sizes. Im kinds on the fence on the 275 or the 285 :( tough decision but the 75's are about 70 cheaper per tire for a .4 less in width but .5 more in height than 285's.

I really like the BFG, it just "clicks" on most trucks. I think you'd be happy with either size, but IMO tall skinnies work better for traction in bad conditions, but in a 275 I think they'll still be wide enough to be "cool" to most people. I know, weird tire choice for an 18 year old, but JMO.
