Im positive you have the deep pan. One tip, unless you have a lot of patience and proper tools don't even bother removing the old seal for the filter neck it can be quite hard to remove.

Just look at the procedure I posted. You'll see what you might need.

Your pan will have no drain. Older models did have a plug. Seal removal isn't that difficult. You'll also need to be careful removing the pan. The exhaust crossover is generally too close and you'll need to loosen the tailshaft mount and raise the back end of the tranny slightly to obtain clearance for the pan to slip out. Be very careful removing the pan 'cause there is wiring than can be damaged if you wrestle it out.

You do have a drive shaft though. It connects to the transmission at the rear. It's the rear transmission mount that you'll probably need to loosen, jack the trans up slightly, to gain enough clearance the remove the pan

Hey thanks, the exhaust does cross the tranny pan slightly but it's a bit lower it's not in the way of the bolts or anything it appears that the pan is a straight shot, but thanks for the advice the tranny mount appears to be a very easy way to make some extra space.

You have to remember, it's not the bolts so much as it is the pan needs to drop down to clear the trans internals. Some trucks it's not a problem. But most require getting more room for the pan. Be very careful as I said in an earlier post

You think it would be alright to loosen the tailshaft mount( not completely remove the two bolts) and jack up the end (tail) with a bottle jack and a piece of wood.
