I bought my truck brand new at 30miles its a 2011 gmc crew cab gmc 1500 with the 5.3 when i push the lock buttom twice it barely makes a chirp, before that it used to make a loud sound so should i take it in or is there a more simple way of fixing it

I replaced my horn with a dual horn setup long ago. The wimpy OEM horn is not that great.

I would also recommend taking the vehicle in being that you are still under warranty. Feel free to keep me posted and contact me if you need any further assistance. Thank you.

hey may need to keep it overnight or longer. I would recommend contacting the dealer directly for more specific information. Would you like me to locate a dealer in your area?

The dealer would be the best resource for this information as it would depend upon the situation. I would recommend giving them a call before visiting and explaining your situation as well as discussing possible option. Please feel free to keep me posted on your progress and how it goes with the dealer.

I haven't had this problem with the truck, and being that it's under warranty I would go that route if I were you. That said, I had something similar happen with my Infiniti G35 when I was forced to go through a bunch of standing water that pushed up into the horn. It sounded very muffled. I took the horn off and turned it around until the water came out, and it was good to go after that. It was probably close to a week that the water was up in there before I had a chance to work on it. Don't know if you might have had the same thing happen, but that's my only idea.
