Advent OGM-1 with iGo Primo: First update is now free!

Walt one thing i noticed when trying to update my card was, it was reading from an older version of navi extras but i was getting a @@@@logofll error. and after updating it to a newer version of naviextras it wont see the sd card at all and i have tried it from three different computers an a couple different card readers. now my question to you is, is advent and igo going to honour the free map update if they cant sort this problem out within the first 90 days of having this unit, or can they simply replace the sd cards,or is it possible someone can just email new files to reload on the sd cards?.

 

 

I'd bet we'll have an answer regarding the update policy once they get the process fixed. I wouldn't stress over it too much - let them get the update pushed out and see what the results are.

 

If we need to go to bat with Advent or iGo regarding further issues, I hope you know I'll be the first one in line to make our points known...

I've had the same issue that Naviextras will not read my SD card.

Already ran the map update it it worked great. Problem is, I can't remember

what might have happened when it no longer read the SD card.

Tried to recover from the backups but that didn't work either.

I've entered a ticket as was suggested, but not sure if my report will help them much to "debug".

 

In the meantime, the current map works in the ADVENT unit.

I just updated my Naviextras Toolbox, and it now recognizes my SD card. It immediately logged me in and checked the update servers.

 

I had to install a system update to the head unit before it would let me get the free map update and content fix. But it works like a dream now!

I just again updated naviextras toolbox, and it now recognizes my sd card, and I was able to update the maps and backup the sd card, so i put sd card back in OGM1 and it works perfect, it also now shows alot of streets that it previously did not.so it seems the problem has been resolved
