Factory fuel line replacement

Just wondering if the fuel lines, all of them including the feed, return, and vapor from the engine back, are usually available from the dealer? The metal portions are rusted to hell and some parts near the fuel filter are rigged up from a previous repair job. If they are available, is it even possible to get them in without removing a bunch of crap? Seems like they'd be pretty long and twisty.....

They are a real bear to get at--seems like a part they NEVER expected you to replace with the engine in the truck. I had to remove distributor, throttle body and a bunch of other stuff...

Were these pre-made lines specific to your truck? Or did you have to fabricate? Looks like mine actually go up and run alongside the tcase and transmission with clips attached to them, then go up to the engine. With the front driveshaft removed, I MIGHT be able to maneuver lines up there.....but maybe not lol.

Haha, I've had a few older vehicles in the past where this was sometimes not true. They were discontinued parts.

oh....did he check ?

The parts guy? He claimed to have, lol. It was for an oddball size brake line from the abs unit to a junction block at the back for a 90 Lesabre. One of the early firewall mounted types with no vacuum booster. It was a long time ago. With the sheer number of these trucks out there, I think I'll have better luck this time.

I have replace fuel lines on several trucks for customers using earl's or russell braided steel lines. They both make adapter fitting to come right off the throttle body or fuel rail. Depending on what vehicle you are working on. Even used the stock fuel filter. Parts run $300. Very easy to run these lines. If you want a parts list let me know.
