Need help with detailing steps

Ok so I'm going to clay bar my 02 silverado that way I can apply the Turtle Wax Black Box Wax onto my truck, and hopefully it will do as claimed. But, if I clay bar first (like I'm going to), do I need to do the pre-wax cleaner that comes in the black box kit, or can I go straight into the waxing/buffing stage? I would figure the clay bar already takes off more than the pre cleaner, but I just want someone who has experience or knowledge to tell me what I can do. Thanks

I mainly use The Chemical Guys, their stuff works and is fairly priced. Adam's IMO is way over priced. I tried AutoGeek stuff but didn't care for it. When I got my PC. they sent Pinnacle products with it and they are terrible and don't work all that great.

Either Adam's or Chemical Guys would be my choices on that list.
