06 Silverado With 8.1L Performance Q's

I just bought an 06 Silverado with an 8.1L In it! Im way excited to start modding it after i fix the bugs i have with it. Anyways in this thread im looking for performance suggestions for this engine. Start with the basics and move on to the big stuff. Suggestions on a Good Air Intake, Exhaust, Affordable Headers Etc Etc! Posting gains from each mod in your experience would be cool too! Thanks!

Custom tune and be done with it. Save money for gas and oil. Beautiful truck. BTW. I test drove one, and the power difference from s 6.0 or 5.3 is quite noticeable. Have kinda looked for one, but the family CFO says no.

Thanks man. How much were the can and heads? Already gonna do the exhaust like you said. But them works headers are a bit pricey. Thinking about a diff pair.
