Leaf Springs Sagging

Recommended Posts

I've got an 04 Sierra 1/2 ton Z71 with a sagging spring pack on one side. The box is ~3/8" lower on the driver side, not much but it drives me nuts. I think I'm going to try a new spring pack and see if it straightens it out.

Anyway....does anyone have any aftermarket spring options/suggestions other than stock? Since I pull some heavy loads I'm thinking of putting in heaver springs.

Thanks!

I thought, due to the gas tanks, that the body tends to lean a but towards the drivers side anyhow, The best cost efficient route would be to get add-a-leafs. Helps a good amount with towing and such.

ALL of the chevy's i have ever measured (especially classic body) have the "chevy lean" it's normal don't even worry about it at all most are typically around 1/2" or so

.5" or under is within spec for side to side differance. Could also be body lean unless the Suspension D Height is measured. Go measure some trucks at the dealer , GM , Ford, or Dodge, my bet is you will not find a truck even side to side. 3/8" you would be wasting money replacing springs that may not help.

Can you clarify suspension D height?

My twisted rear end is certainly more noticeable than the majority of other GM pickups driving around. I've speculated body lean but I'm not sure how it would have happened.
