Fuel lines are leaking

Recommended Posts

Posted

After 7 1/2 years and 35K miles my return lines on my truck have begun to leak. I actually thought the problem was the fuel cooler but I stopped by my dealer and after he put it on the rack he felt it was just the lines around the cooler.

I blame most of it on this new "slurry" they put on the roads around here in the winters.

The truck is in the shop. Dealer thought it was fuel lines and I thought it was the fuel cooler. It ended up being BOTH! I am also having the intermediate steering shaft done so this will probably be expensive!

The total bill was $780. The mechanic confirmed what I expected and that is the brake lines will be next... However he said he never had a cooler or fuel lines go bad before.
