1969 VW Beetle

I'm going to go take a look at a '69 VW Beetle Convertible this afternoon. The car has 24K miles on it and is state inspected. Other than the floorpan problems and the running board problems, what else should I look for?

The price is right on this car, and I would buy it as a summer cruiser car for the wife... I just don't want to run into too many problems...

Some freinds of mine are in a local VW club (Applevalley Volkswagen) .

I'll ask them today and get back to ya !

They have a couple bettles one is a 69 I dont know what the other is.

They just got the 69 redone it is tricked out dark purple paint job that looks blue when you look at it from different angles also a medalion 69 in the hood (or should I say trunk)

A friend of mine at work who knows VW's told me today that he knows this particular car, and said to stay away from it. Although the car looks good, he says the front suspension is rotted out and it would be a "project" car.
