I'm looking to get a new "unit" of computer entertainment.

Which do yall think?

Here's what I think so far........

PS2: Tried it. the Game I tried out was NASCAR Heat 2002. I liked it.

X-Box: Tried that out last night. The Game was NASCAR Thunder 2002. I liked it better than the PS2. Outstanding grahics. Worth the $$$$ to me

If i had a choice between those 2 I'd go with X-Box.

But, My Grandma and I both agree that for computer gaming, you can't beat a PC. I really want a new one that's jacked up with gaming technology (I'm shooting for a Pentium III, and 3D accelerator).  I want to be able to play Nascar 4, 4x4 EVO, and Half-Life. (I've got a whole list of new games I want to get, those are the ones I want the most).

So, how do you guys weigh in on this?

I m gonna agree with paco on this one.. My choice would be the new computer.. I ve had PS, N64, etc and its great off the bat but it gets old quickly..  Overall i d rather play computer games or just surf the net other the others..

I would say go with the computer.  Do yourself a favor and get an AMD one though.  Much faster for the same amount of money.  If you decide on a game console, get PS2, i have been hearing some game companies seriously slamming the xbox, and i know the ps2 will be around forever.  I have a NIB gamecube i am willing to let go for 300 if your interested!

Siilt beat me to the pucnh if u want a serious gaming machine build it your self with an amd proc and one of the gforce 3 vid cards, ddr memory, and a 7200rpm+ hard drive

dell gateway etc just do not make fast machines they do not want to spend the money they will add a few things to it to sell it but the rest is junk from the case to cooling to power suplies and generic propritery cards (with u will have hell finding good drivers for)

for some real good info see www.amdmb.com and go to the forums there is a wealth of info there (a lot of it i put there)

I agree, build your own or find a place that will do it for your.  More bang for the buck and far easier to upgrade.  Prices are dropping everyday, shop around.
