Bose stock HU power

What is the power output of the stock Bose radio? I've searching but for some reason can't find it.

 

I'm wanting to replace my speakers and keep the stock radio.

The Bose runs thru an amp, my understanding is that it's more of a processor than an actual amp. Most people have told me that it is designed to work in a specific way with the Bose speakers, and that regular speakers won't sound that good with the Bose amp. So, it's recommended to replace the entire setup, or get an aftermarket head unit and use its outputs to power additional speakers to supplement the Bose ones.

That's where I'm confused. I read and been told the same and you have heard but then I've also heard that you can replace the speakers and keep the stock HU and they sound better than the stock speakers.

 

I don't have the funds to replace the whole system, and I don't listen to music that sound or care about some incredible system. I just want something that is clear and sounds good.
