Rear Lift Blocks

I was looking into installing a set of rear lift blocks on my truck (03' 2500HD crew cab). I currently have a front leveling kit that is barely turned down at all and was just wanting to take the truck just a little bit higher. I didn't know if I should go with a 1.5" or 2" block set? Also, will I need to add shock extenders in the rear like I did in the front or will the stock shocks be fine? Thanks for the input.

I can tell your from expierience!! Go a little bigger then your initial thought, I went from 2" to 3" blocks.. now finally went with 4" blocks and 4" longer rancho shocks.. I would get the front end were you want it then select what size blocks you want..How much higher do you want the rear to sit vs the front.. I like mine around 1.5" higher so when im loaded or pulling the camper/trailer i dont sag. Turn your keys up were you want then get a good alignment, Ranch also has 1"-2.5" longer shocks for the front & rear..

Is the picture of the truck in the link you added have the 4" blocks? Also, did you crank your torsion keys to get that much lift for that truck in the picture?

I'd go with a 2 inch block. That's about the limit. Anything over a 2 inch block is going at it the wrong way. Way too much spring wrap with tall blocks... If it needs that much lift, it needs new springs.

Yea the sierra in the pic has 4" block with 4" longer rancho shocks, And new keys up front adjusted up but not maxed out.. My ride is good not to rough at all,

And i dont have any issues with axle wrap or anything like that.. If its done right theres no problems at all 8 out of 10 $12-1800 suspension lifts use 4-6" blocks in the rear! Like i said get the front were you want it first..then you,ll know what block you need in the rear!
