2006 Steering Wheel Control Buttons

Do the buttons on the steering wheel controls have lights in them to be seen at night? Just completed the conversion on my 2006 Silverado. No lights at night.

Just curious.

Thanks.

i know the buttons as well but being a new steering wheel and clock spring you would think they would work unless there is other programming to do. they uploaded so the buttons all work fine just no lights. somethnig not plugged in by chance?

Mine worked and I added it myself about 2-3 months ago. When its cold at night its like having a heated steering wheel

He says this because the lights burn with the intensity of a thousand sun's! They get damn hot!!!!!

You can put a steering wheel with radio controls in a truck that didn't come with one?

Yes but its not cheap. It's easy but time consuming and expensive. I bought the wheel off Trav. That was $200. $450 for the clock spring, $150 for programming at the dealer. And if you have an aftermarket radio add like $30 for the adapter harness from PAC and I paid $40 for the install of that.
