Front Suspension Noise

09 Tahoe, 52K miles, totally stock 2wd.

I have noticed some strange scrubbing noises coming from my wife's Tahoe whenever the front suspension compresses, like crossing a speed bump. Ive looked and its not the tires rubbing on anything. Any ideas what it might be, and if its normal?

struts could be starting to wear. wheel hubs. could be anything, your best bet is to get it on some jackstands and check everything out just to be sure. you can also stand in the door jam and rock the vehicle back and forth and listen for any odd sounds

Took it in today for an oil change and had the mechanic look at it. They didnt see any visual signs of anything being worn out or gone bad (like a leaking shock/strut assembly). They did grease everything up, and it seemed to fix the problem. Ive never heard a noise like this from a lack of grease. The noises Ive heard caused by a lack of grease is usually a squeek, not a scraping sound. However, the sound went away, so I guess thats what it was.
