TIRES - 20 INCH BRIDGESTONE DUELLER AT

I am a new user and looking for anyone who is experiencing the same tire problem as me. Just bought a new 2013 GMC Sierra Crew Cab that has 20 inch Bridgestone Dueller AT tires. The ride is terrible. Feels like you are going over mini speed bumps or traveling on egg shaped tires as you travel down the road. What a terrible bumpy ride. Anyone else experiencing the same?

No, and I have those tires on my Denali. Matter of fact it came with Goodyear LS2 tires which IMO were terrible in snow and ice. I went and purchased the Dueler's because they were oem and I got a great price. I cannot tell the difference in ride with them but the traction over the LS2 is a 100x better.

 

One thing, and I don't know if this is what you are feeling. 20-in tires have a short sidewall and that often makes for a stiffer ride and more flat spotting. Check your air pressure, it might be off. 20-in tires should have 30 psi, they might get inflated to 35 psi by the new vehicle prep.

Two things:

1. Make sure that the air pressure is set to spec. I recently purchased a brand new car and checked the air pressure when I got home from the dealership. All four tires had 40 psi; spec is 32.

2. I purchased a new Chevy truck back in 2004. It had been sitting on the lot for 4 months. On the test drive I thought my teeth were going to shake out of my head. Tires were badly flat-spotted. Sometimes they will heal themselves; sometimes not. I fixed it by purchasing a set of Suburban take-offs. Ironically enough, the tires mounted to the take-offs were Bridgestone Dueler AT, and they rode smooth as silk.

I'd also recommend checking the air pressure. And, as stated, if you've never had 20' rims, it may take a while to adjust to the way they ride....which is much different than the old 16's or 17's. Also, you may have lost a wheel weight...which will cause the tire to be out of balance...which can create vibrations at certain speeds.
