Flowmaster Super 10 Thoughts?

Hey everyone,

 

I am thinkin about doing a dual exhaust for my truck and was wondering if anyone has the flowmaster super 10 muffler on their truck and what they think of the sound level inside the cab?

 

Also, if anyone has any suggestions on mufflers that would be greatly appreciated.

 

I want something that sounds more aggressive than the stock exhaust, but I don't want there to be so much drone inside the cab that you can't talk to people or listen to the radio without turning it up high volume.

Hey Ben. I know that duals are real popular, and I'm not trying to talk you out of them, but have you considered just a muffler swap? You could do it yourself for the price of a muffler and two clamps with a sawzall. A muffler shop would probably be somewhere around two hundred bucks. Cheap, fast and easy. May give you the sound you want and keep some cash in your wallet. I had a magnaflow big body on my '02 6.0 with drone, flowmaster super 40 on my '07 6.0 with no drone. I hear the opposite on here most of the time, I think on my '02 the drone was reverb from the muffler being right at the gap between the cab and the bed, and the '07 didn't have a drone because I left the resonater on. I have heard that the magnaflow is better quality. Some shops (like my local guy) will stick a few different mufllers on for you to hear and choose. Good luck!

10 series is really loud drone wise. Have you looked at Corsa? I listened to some sound clips and they're pretty mean.
