Hey Walt, Any word on the next ogm firmware update?

Seems like forever since we got a firmware update on our ogm1. Are there any new things coming? I would really like to see song and track title, and maybe even album art when streaming bluetooth.

Yeah, and I would stlll like my time zone fixed. Even after the last upgrade I have to run my clock on the wrong time zone to keep the correct time.

I also know they changed the "backup message" on the camera - But I would still like to be able to see my hitch without the words in the way.

I have been passing along suggestions on a regular basis, and have many more than what's mentioned here, but as with all of these things, we need to get them pushed up the priority list to get some action on them, and with the new 2014 GM unit coming online soon, it's a bit of a challenge to get our wish list pushed ahead of new product development.

Trust me, I will ALWAYS be bugging the engineers (as evidenced by my 8 emails last week alone - I think they all groan when the see another email roll in from me... :- )

Ya, with the new model coming out we may be SOL for an update. Walt, ask them for the source code, who knows maybe they would be willing to give it up - I can dream cant it .

Did you hear anything on the new units? I'm going to get the new 2014 silverado and wondering if the advent will be available soon after.

They are working on that unit as we speak – I heard that they will be available shortly after the new body style rolls out.

I'll post details as I know them, but at minimum we know that the new dashboard is a complete redesign so there would be no ability to retrofit the new unit into older trucks or vice versa...
