Dry Rotted Sidewalls

I have a 2011 3500 Sierra that I bought new in December of 2011. It has the Michelin LTX A/T 2 tires, 15000 miles, tires were manufactured 23rd week of 2010 according to the sidewall. The sidewalls are all starting to dry rot terribly. I know it is a safety issue so I need to get new ones. Does anyone know if this will be covered by warranty? No tire shine ever. I just contacted my dealer and they said that they need to see the tires and will contact Michelin, but it sounded like this is going to be my problem. Anyone have any experience with this?

My expeience with Michelin tires is that they dry rot real fast. As long as the cracks are smaller than the tip of a ball point pen it is mostly surface cracking. It depends on climate as to how fast they rot. out here in the SW with the dry air they crack faster.
