Id like to get a 3.42:1 posi in my truck, instead of that limited slip crap.  How do I go about doing this?  I dont know much about rear ends at all.  Thanks in advance!

Will a posi unit taken out of a late mdel f-body work in my truck?  Or do they use different spline axles. SLP has limited slip diffs taken out of new f-bodies for sale on thier site and Iw as wondering if it would work or not.  It's an O.E.M. Zexel-Torsen 7.5" & 7.625" differential its found in most 1998-2002 Camaros & Firebirds with 28 spline axles.  I know nothing about the rear end in my truck so I dont know if it will work.  Anybody know?

Traction bars are fine of you don't put a lot of weight in the bed.  If you're having a problem with wheel hop, traction bars will help get rid of it.

As far as using the differential from a passenger car in a truck, I don't think I'd recommend it, unless you intend to use the truck as a car and not a truck.

The differential in your truck, at 8.5", is a bit larger than 7.5" and 7.625" ones that the F-bodies use for a reason.  The F-bodies aren't intended to do the hauling work that the truck is.

Consider also that the re-sale value of your truck will tank if you swap a car differential into it.
