Flex-Hone tool or sandpaper to remove rotor glaze

My powerslot slotted rotors have glazed after only being on the truck for a little over a month and I need to remove it because I think that is where some squeal/squeak is coming from.

Which is better to remove the glaze, sandpaper or one of those flex hone tools? I can't find any garnet sandpaper at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc, just aluminum oxide which I read I shouldn't use.

I'm not sure if anywhere has the flex-hone tool but I'm going to call around tomorrow. Which would be better for removing the glaze?

I have this Ingersoll Rand surface prep kit, http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200326496_200326496t.

Will this work?

I can buy it several places. Somebody should carry garnet paper. Tried local small hardware stores or lumberyards?

Check Sears for this: Model # 28218

I'm calling some places today. The problem is that we don't really have any small hardware stores around me. The only place that might have it is my local Harbor Freight.

I have always just used 150 grit sand paper. Use medium pressure with a swirl pattern on the face and edges of the rotor and then clean them with brake cleaner when you are done. Works like a charm!
