2014 current body style EXT cab

In case anyone like my myself was interested in purchasing a new 2014 current body style with a extended cab you might as well forget about it. I got confirmation today direct from GMC that they will not be building any ext cab this year. A little disappointed but I guess I snoozed and I lost out.

Did you really want to buy a first year GM vehicle right out of the gate? Give them some time to work the bugs out and you will see the ext cab.

 

It sounds like he is talking about buying a 2014 HD ext cab which is unchanged. Seems strange that there'd be no ex cabs. I know crews are sales leaders but still...

Your right Mike, I would have like to have the current ext cab just because I'm not a huge fan of the crew cab type of doors that they plan on doing for the new body. I first heard it from my somewhat unreliable sales person and now from the mod on the GMC facebook page. grrr

They must have used up their stock of extended cab parts and dont want to make more if they dont anticipate them selling as well. Who knows really why they do what they do.

It is a true story.... tried to order one last week and they said the factory was not making them.

Crazy isn't it. They originally let me order a 2014 then they once again cancelled it. I talked with CS 6 different times, which angered me even more because the people at customer service are not even located in the USA. Seriously how much can one expect to find out from someone that has a hard time talking in English. My journey has ended on my quest for a 2013 or 14 extended cab. at this point I just feel that I am buying something that is already a year old and yet they still want top dollar for it. Ill still purchase a GMC, its just not going to be this year. Ill wait for the new body style "extra cab"
