Offroad hillclimb in the new truck

Recommended Posts

Went around keremeos bc little while back, first time really testing out the truck. Have to say I was really impressed with the grip and flex in the back end, the only thing that stops these trucks is the height and width! Here's some Pics from part way up and the top, more to come when I get them from my friend, he got some good action shots. Needless to say first thing coming home I did was buy bilstien 5109 levelling shocks and airbags to lift the truck up a bit, probably will do a body lift soon too.

I have not really tested out the 5100s in the back country yet, the front end clearance looks like it would make a big difference. My friends Toyota with 3" body lift and 33s made it to the top, I parked and left mine there. Mainly because I do not want to scratch my paint. As much as I hate the running boards for hanging too low they appear to protect the cab really well.

As for the trail it was really cool, huge basalt columns like devils post pile in yosemite but no railings, tourist, just a few hikers and 4x4s.

The picture is a bit deceiving, I was about 10 feet from a road, you can't see and we could barely stand up it was so steep. the running board hit here.

Same trip, mud! Even with traction control set to off it didn't want to break loose.

The end of the road, basalt columns

The funny thing is all those shots were the same day and mountain. We were on a frozen lake too.

Wow the scenery up there is beautiful. Truck looks good too. Perhaps you should get some skid plates though.
