4.3 WT doesn't have a differential code?

For some odd reason my little 4.3 doesn't have differential code. I've assumed this truck might have a G80 differential but boy was I wrong! Check my pic to let me know what differntial i might have. I edited the last digits of my vin for security reasons.

so what type of differential does it have? I already know the axle ratio, but is mine a limited slip or what? It ain't no positrac I can tell you that as only one wheel spin as I burn out

Its an open diff. Same as mine. Just a carrier no locking or limited slip

Yes, GM did included the G80 Eaton locker with the tow package

 

I have the G80 locker in my 2011 with 3.23's and I don't have the tow package, Actually my trucks only options were Those big tow mirrors, G80 and the better cloth seats. Otherwise it;s just has the base W/T package.

"GU5" = 3.23:1 non locking rear end gear.

 

You also do not have an "LSD".

Yeah I decoded his PRO codes and yep he has the standard open diff. with 3.23 gears.

 

I have both GU5 and G80 for my PRO codes on my 2011 along with the standard Z83 suspension or "Smooth Ride" as GM calls it.

Installed in your vehicles rear end, the "G80" RPO would indicate a locker, or locking device, that would spin both wheels @ the same rpm.

 

On Sara (2001 Z28) the "G80" RPO code indicated a Zexel Torson LSD.
