Drivers door unlock/mirror/windows not working

I'm hoping the forum can help me with this one. My drivers door is having some issues. Sometimes the door lock does not lock/unlock and none of the window switches or mirror adjust buttons do not work. A day later they are working again.

 

I took it into GM to get checked out and they said everything was working fine; that day I suppose.

 

I'm thinking it has something to do with the wiring in the door is getting pinched or frayed.

 

This is turning into a major pain as I have to double check that my door is getting locked and having to use the key to enter into the vehicle.

check the wires in the boot that goes between the door and the cab , just pull the rubber boot out of the door and give a little tug on the larger pink or red wires . The wires sometimes break in the middle of the boot from the wires bending from the door opening and closing.

See this happen all too often, checking the wiring between door and body would be a good place to start.
