OGM-1 RAP driver priority

On my stock radio the unit stayed on until the Drivers door was opened. This was good when using bluetooth as the call was not cut off until the driver was ready, not a kid or wife bailing out the other doors. Evidently the OGM-1 uses a common door switch to maintain power.

 

Anyone ( Walt ) looked into how to change this? It is quite possible I am the only one who cares!

As far as I know, there is no way to change this function except to leave the key in the ACC position...

I thought it may be more of a wiring issue, instead of a setting. Thought it was strange the factory radio behaved differently.

Does anyone know if other radios with harnesses do the same as the OGM-1? Or do some behave like OEM?

It would also be nice if the OGM1 didn't reboot every time I go from listening at ACC position to start position on my 09 Suburban.

Perhaps I could install a small capacitor just to keep the OGM1 running those two seconds?

Radios in every vehicle I've ever driven turn off when you start the engine. I doubt you'll find a "fix" for that.

I've tried and it can't be done - since this radio responds only to data to activate (or really, emulate the ACC function), there is no way to keep it live during cranking... :- (
