rubber grommet

Hey there,

Just looking for a quick tip. I'm installing the firestone air command compressor for the ride rite air bags.I need to run two air lines to the gauge and a good place is the rubber grommet going in the firewall behind the fuse box of the engine bay with the main electrical wires. Any tips on how to get through it? My utility knife ain't cutting it lol. Next is drill bit.

there is a dimple just below that where upfitters drill a hole and run there wires through the firewall , the plow installers use that location . Probably best to run your lines in a new grommet

the grommet has parts, theres a big plastic disk on the inside, I had to pop that out to be able to run anything through the firewall

Right in front of the firewall (drivers side) there is a batch of cables going through a large rubber grommet, rather than making another hole, if you peal back the tape that binds the grommet to the cables there should be space in the center to run the lines, then just re tape up the batch of cables to the grommet
