You could run 33x13.5's on that thing with no lift.

 

285's no problem.

I bought my 03 2500HD with 305/70r16 cooper discover stt on it. All the po did was trim the grey plastic under the bumper back from the fender well a bit. I didn't even notice the cut until he pointed it out. I have 285/75r16 bfg all terrain ko's on it now with no problem other then speedo being off. It's worth noting that the snow plow package installs a hd front suspension and hd axles on these trucks. I didn't find that out until researching the options my truck came with.

 

 

 

Thanks, I installed a set of 285's that have about a 3rd of the tread left. I rubbed on the passengerside grey plastic cowl and I cut that on an angle. I also rub on the driver side if I back up cutting the wheel all the way to the right. I noticed my bumper is a little crooked so that explains that. I don't rub on the driver side grey plactic cowl but I do on the passenger side. I love how the truck sits, rides with this size tire...

I have the work truck package as well as plow package. I run 285/75-16 mud terrains with no lift or level kit. Truck looks great and only rubs when I turn hard and go over a curb where suspension is compressed. I had to trim my bumper valance is all. Hope this helps

Firestone destination mt is the tire I run and I love these tires. They work great on snow and ice from sand to gravel. The only thing I noticed is they wear out really fast and they are loud n the highway and vibrate more than cooper stt. I used to swear by the STT tires. They are a great tire but I've come to the fact that I had better luck with the firestones.
