2" or 3" rear blocks for 2010 1500 Silverado

Hello all,

I have a 2010 1500 silverado and have the 2" rough country level kit intalled for about 3 years. I'm thinking about adding rear blocks but having a tough time deciding on a 2 or 3" block.

The "2 will give me 3/4" or the 3" will give 1 3/4". Someday I plan on towing a travel trailer so I was thinking the 3" might me a little better. What do you think?

The 2" will be all but level and no visible rake. The 3" will be visible rake but nothing terrible. I started out with 3" blocks but it was to much rake for me so i went down to 2" blocks.

Thanks guys for the replies and Great pics. I think I like the 3", to bad they didn't make a 2.5" That might be just right, Lol

Just did a search on Ebay and I did find some 2.5" blocks. Hmmm what to go with....

Be careful what you order off ebay. A lot of those blocks are aluminum, make sure you order something that is either iron or high carbon steel. Stick with name brands like pro comp, readylift, tuff country, etc.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice and will stick to name brands for sure.

I had a 3" on my last truck, but went with a 2" this time around. The 2" seems to be enough to keep it from looking stupid when towing/hauling light loads. If I plan to tow anything heavy in the future, I'll probably look into air bags or a helper spring setup, rather than adding more rake.
