Have a 2006 Sierra SLE Z71 4x4 and on 3 occasions now I have driven the truck where hot air comes from the vents but the setting are on "cold"??? Anyone else experience this? On all 3 times it happened all I did was stop, turn off the truck and restart it and it worked normal each time after that but was wondering what happened? any ideas??

I have the cj2 digital climate in all 3 of mine and it does that. Most of the time I force a relearn by pulling both HVAC fuses. Its the blend door actuators going stupid or at least one of them thus faulting the controller and if defaults to whatever. My 04 stuck itself on defrost once and refused to switch because it was blowing a/c on the drivers and hot on the passenger side. When I did the first relearn all I got was defrost lol. It took a couple times but it worked and its been fine for months. Most will tell you to switch actuators but I won't. Unless it becomes a daily occurrence or simply won't clear one day I can't be bothered. Both my 04 and 05 have constant codes for the recirculation door actuator that won't clear but whatever.... its the worst one to swap and so far I can still force it to work. My 05 can take 3 or 4 relearns especially after unhooking its battery but whatever. Once it takes it works fine again until usually I disconnect the battery again. You can clean the actuators too but you may as well change them if you go as far as removing them.

I should mention when you replace the fuses restart the truck and leave the controls be for a bit. I would leave the fuses out for a minute or two to ensure it resets. Once running again it takes a minute or two for the unit to self calibrate and it will be fine. Even as old as my heaps are I have yet to change an actuator
