Fuel Pressure Regulator

Morning! Can a Fuel Pressure Regulator be bad (leaking pressure) even if there is no signs of gas in the vacuum line? When hooking up a gauge while the truck is running and removing the vacuum line, I can see the pressure jump from 50 to 60. Im having a hard start issue after the truck has sat for a while (4-5 hours plus). I did just replace the fuel pump with an OEM pump so I know that is not the issue anymore.

brand new pump....i highly doubt it

To answer my original quest...yes FPR can go bad with out any visual signs.

 

Put a new one in and all is well.
