Hid on fog lights GMC SIERRA 2011

Okay so today i bought some after market fog lights because my truck originally didnt come with them i also bought some 8k hid to put on them but i dont know how to install them the bulb 5202 it comes with two metal prongs the plug has all these slots but the problem is idk which is negative or positive on the plug another problem is that the prongs are too long and come out easily some people say to cut them shorter and just tape them up real good so no water can get in is this safe i dont wana mess up my hid please someone who knows help me!!!!!!!!!!

What on earth did you buy? Hids are essentially plug n play, any pics of what you're asking?
